Răzvan Daniel ZOTA graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics, specializing in Computer Science, at the University of Bucharest in 1992. He holds a Ph.D. in Economic Informatics, awarded in 2000, and is currently a professor in the Department of Economic Informatics and Cybernetics at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Since 2010, he has served as a Ph.D. supervisor in the field of Economic Informatics. His research output includes over 150 articles published in national and international journals, as well as presentations at international conferences. He has authored 14 books and guides, primarily aimed at students in the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics, and Economic Informatics.

His teaching activities cover several core subjects within economic informatics, including IT Basics, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and Integrated Systems for eBusiness. Through these courses, Professor Răzvan Daniel Zota aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge to understand and apply modern technologies in the context of business and economic processes.

His research themes have encompassed the development and implementation of information systems, modernization of computer networks, cybersecurity, and the optimization of business processes through the use of modern informational technologies, all with practical applications in the economic domain.

His current research focuses on exploring ways in which modern informational technologies can aid the development of smart cities and the circular economy.
